Come and Sing: You're the Voice

"You're the voice" is a powerful anthem - and this is your chance to come together with loads of other people to sing it, just for fun. Led by highly-acclaimed choir leader Timothy Allen, the evening will be a celebration of the power of group singing. Whether you already sing in a choir, or prefer to hit the karaoke bars or sing in the shower, you'll love getting together and making a joyful sound alongside everyone else.

The event is open to people of all genders, aged 18 and above. (It may be possible to accommodate younger participants if they are accompanied by a fully-participating adult - contact us if this applies to you). We are on the first floor of our venue, and a lift is available for anyone not able to use the stairs. We particularly welcome people from under-represented groups - and tenors & basses, as they are always in short supply!

You don't need to read music - Tim will teach you your lines on the day, in a fun, accessible and supportive way. We'll get into the style of the song, not just the notes, and use it as a way of expressing strong emotions of empowerment. You'll leave uplifted, proud, and with glorious harmonies ringing around your head.

On the night, you can arrive to register between 6:30pm and 7:00pm, then we'll do some introductions and warming up from 7:00pm. We'll work on the song for the rest of the night, and we'll wrap up by 9:00pm.

Parking is available in the school car park, then you can enter the building from the "student entrance" near the car park (don't go around to the Main entrance at the front of the building - it's further, and won't be open!). We'll be in the Main Hall.

(We will be doing some filming and recording during the evening, for promotional purposes - if you'd prefer not to be included in this, just let us know and we will accommodate you.)

Bring some water, and be ready for an energetic, exhilarating sing. We can't wait to see you there!
